Is Now

Center for Ukraine refugees in Moldova

After seven years of close cooperation, Stella’s Voice and AIM (short for Adullam International Ministries) are taking the final steps to merge our operations, adding to each other’s strengths, and now caring for vulnerable children in Alabama, Africa, and of course Moldova. We’re also heavily involved together in caring for the many victims, almost all of them women and children, who have been impacted by the war in Ukraine.

Pete and Angie Spackman founded AIM over twenty years ago, and have been faithfully serving the Lord through this dynamic organization, reaching, and very often rescuing, children whose moms are in prison. Children come to Adullam House from as little as 48 hours old, straight from the hospital where they born, and AIM cares for kids all the way through the teenage years, preparing kids for college, careers, and giving them a strong start in adult life — exactly the mission Stella’s Voice has always had for kids in Moldova. You can learn all about AIM on the website at: www.AIM.world

As part of our merger, Stella’s Voice in the United States will now be known as AIM Moldova! We’re still a fully recognized nonprofit
501(c)(3) organization, so if you’re a donor, your gifts will still be tax deductible. If you’ve set up automatic recurring gifts from your debit card, credit card or bank account, you don’t have to do anything — all of the needed changes will happen behind the scenes and your generous giving will continue to help vulnerable children in Moldova, unless you choose to designate your giving in some other way.

If you have any questions, you can still reach us by phone at our office: +1 (334) 288-1188 or by email on our contact page.

More Details

Again, we are thrilled to announce that after many years of our two organizations supporting and encouraging each other in our mutual efforts, and joining together to cooperate on numerous important projects, Adullam International Ministries (or AIM for short) and Stella’s Voice have made the decision to join our operations together in an official way.

The first thing we want to make clear is that NOTHING WILL CHANGE in terms of the vital work we have been doing in the nation of Moldova. In fact, as we speak, we’re taking care of more at-risk girls and boys in our homes, supporting more kids such as those in the Cupcui orphanage, and reaching out to more vulnerable families across Moldova than ever before. Not to mention providing vital assistance to those impacted by the war in Ukraine.

At the same time AIM will continue to offer its wonderful care homes in Alabama to the children of incarcerated parents. So many children have been lovingly cared for at Adullam House over the years, and none of that is going to change. Other AIM ministries include a wonderful Christian school and of course powerful international efforts such as those in the nation of Kenya. For all the details on the work AIM has carried out over the years to help vulnerable children, please visit the website at: www.AIM.world

For various reasons, and at least for the foreseeable future, while we will act and operate as one, there will in fact still be two legal entities, AIM and AIM Moldova (formerly Stella’s Voice). Going forward, the two organizations will be governed and managed together in the following ways:

  • The first step we’ve taken to cement our new relationship with AIM is to change the legal name of the US organization from Stella’s Voice to AIM Moldova. AIM Moldova is coming under the larger AIM umbrella of ministries so to speak, and we are excited to see how God utilizes the strengths and assets of both organizations as He continues to lead us forward in this now united family of ministries.

  • The same directors will serve on the official boards of both organizations. This means that our joint board of directors will have all the necessary information to make the best decisions possible for all of our future operations in Moldova, the US, and elsewhere.

  • The chief executives, Brian Paterson of AIM Moldova (formerly Stella’s Voice) and Angela Spackman of AIM, will continue to supervise the same areas of activity as always. Brian, under the new board of directors and in concert with Angela as she applies over three decades of experience in children’s work, will continue to direct the work in Moldova. Angela will also call on Brian’s experience and assistance as she directs the overall work of AIM in the United States and around the world.

  • As has already been the case in practice for some time now, the management and staff of both US organizations, as well as AIM Moldova’s branch office in Moldova, will be managed as one through the joint Executive Committee of leaders of both organizations. We will also be in frequent consultation with the leaders of our longtime sister organizations, Stella’s Voice Canada and Stella’s Voice in the UK.

We truly believe that God has led us together, that the whole will be wonderfully greater than the sum of its parts, and that the opportunities provided by our joining together will lead to more effective ministry to vulnerable children and teens in Moldova and around the world.

For all of you who have faithfully supported the work in Moldova with your prayers and your generous giving, again, we want to stress that nothing has changed – other than to make our efforts even more rewarding and effective. You may still give just as you have always done, you can use the giving pages on this website as always, and your giving will continue to help those we serve in Moldova in the same way it always has.

We understand that you may have questions and we’ll be happy to clarify anything you may wish to know about. To discuss any of these matters with our leadership team, just reach out by phone to our office number: +1 (334) 288-1188, or reach us by email using our contact page.
