Christmas Shoe Boxes

Perhaps you have filled shoe boxes for poor children around the world. God bless you for that! But you have never filled one for an orphan in Moldova.

If you received my recent email, you’ll know that this small country, the poorest in all of Europe, is often overlooked. Our ministry has struggled for the last ten years to bring these boxes to waiting, hoping arms. But there are 12,500 orphans in Moldova and it costs us $25 to fill and deliver each box…

So far we have been unable to bring Christmas to all 12,500 children. This year I pray will be different.

But in order to deliver that many Christmas shoe boxes to the forgotten orphans of Moldova, I must raise additional funds over and above our regular operating budget. Raising the additional money in time will determine how many orphans receive Christmas… or not.

Will you join me? Will you send a special gift of $25 for one Christmas shoe box? If you click here you can download a Christmas card, translated in Romanian. We hope you’ll write a note of encouragement in it, sign it, and send it to our offices. If you do, we’ll be sure to include it in one of the Christmas shoe boxes! Imagine the look on their faces when they learn that someone thousands of miles away is thinking of them.

In order to deliver the boxes on time, I must ship them on October 30. So please rush your gift and your card! A child is waiting… praying… for you.

It would break my heart to drive past some of the orphanages that we delivered Christmas shoe boxes to last year. Please send your best gift today.

For the children,

Philip Cameron

The new website is nice and has everything but a button where to donate for the Christmas shoeboxes.

My children and I, along with several people from our church, are making or buying blankets for the children in YOUR orphanage. Who should I be in contact with to be sure to get them to the right person and get a few questions answered for me?  Thank you, Heather from Missouri :)

Do you have a card that says something like “A Christmas Box has been provided in your name”? We plan to donate a box for each of our family members as a “stocking stuffe3r”. Thanks & God bless, Ron

Hi, and thanks for your post. You can certainly print out the card from the link above (or get additional cards from our office), and write in there your greetings and who the box is from. Then just send those back and we’ll include a card in a box from you. If you have any questions, please contact the ministry office… (334) 288-1188. Thanks!

Is this through Operation Christmas Child?

    • http://www.stellasvoice.org Philip Cameron Jr.

No.  This is our own gifting project that we have done now for years to the orphans of Moldova.

I see the deadline was Oct. 30th, but I just saw this article, is it too late to donate?

    • http://www.stellasvoice.org Philip Cameron Jr.

We had a delay in the container and have just a few more days to accept boxes.  If you can get one sent out by tomorrow or at the latest thursday I believe we will get it in time.

I only came across this info today and our family does similar thing as Christmas project each year. I am getting personally involved with issues of human trafficking and have been to Moldova last year to meet with a group of people who are actively involved in this area. So we as family would love to be a part of this project but seem like we missed the end date. Is there still a possibility to get involved or too late now? Thanks.

Hey Anna.  We aren’t receiving any more actual shoe boxes as they have already been shipped to Moldova.  We had to make our own boxes and if you want to help you can always gift 25$ to help recoup the money spent on making sure we had enough christmas boxes.  We are also always looking for warm coats, clothes and shoes.

We want to rally our church and help the children. What is best? Putting shoe boxes together starting now and mailing them to you in August/October or collecting the money to do that and sending it to you?
